INSPIRING HOPE THROUGH ACTION

The Love & Life Foundation works tirelessly to provide search and rescue, first-aid, evacuation and other basic necessities in the wake of a crisis. Following most natural disasters, situations are dire and thousands of people need food, water and medical attention. Love & Life is a 501C3 that fills the transportation gap between NGOs and larger government organizations by providing these basic necessities via helicopter, plane, and boat.

HURRICANE HELENE

NORTH CAROLINA DISASTER RELIEF

We recently deployed 300 Starlink satellites in partnership with SpaceX, Medic Corps, and City Serve to provide internet service to regions that have not had contact with the outside world since the storm. We have successfully distributed these Starlinks with a priority focus on emergency services. However, we realize the need is still great for WNC residents, emergency services, and others.

WHAT IS HAPPENING

40 TRILLION GALLONS OF RAINFALL

Hurricane Helene made landfall in the United States on 9/26 and began is destructive path throughout the west coast of Florida and a vast portion of the Southeastern United States. Western North Carolina was devastated by some 40 trillion gallons of rainfall that caused dam failure, mass flooding, landslides, mass power and water outages, and many other disasters. Asheville, NC and the surrounding communities were particularly affected due to their geographic location and the surrounding mountain ranges. Communities, fire departments, police stations, emergency medical service, and many other essential public services are without power, internet, water, or food. The crisis is still ongoing and is receiving very little government intervention. As the days drag on, it is imperative to get essential items to these people.

NORTH CAROLINA FLOOD ZONE

Every life matters, Providing Relief to those in need

FIGHT THE FLOOD WITH US

We are preparing to deploy an additional 400 Starlink satellites to stabilize the region and get the victims of Hurricane Helene the communication they need. We estimate that the additional cost of 400 Starlinks, 400 solar battery generators, helicopter fuel and maintenance, and additional resources will be in excess of $600,000. We are asking for assistance in this endeavor. We encourage you to reach out to us for information on donations of materials, helicopter hours, and capital to fund this essential mission for the people of WNC.

"Wideman, his Love & Life Foundation team and their partners have flown dozens of flights on the affected islands of Grand Bahama and the Abacos, delivering tons of food, medicine and equipment and becoming a lifeline for entire communities."
